When DARRENS FLOWERS process your order, you will receive a confirmation email with your order details. This email is also your tax invoice for the transaction.

Varying or cancelling an order

In the event that you need to vary or cancel your order, we require one business day's notice before the delivery date. We will refund the amount, less a $15 administration fee. Orders cancelled after one business day will not be reimbursed.

We will try our utmost to make arrangements to reroute your order if you request a new address, provided that another delivery charge is paid prior to delivery. Please call us on 03 9729 5575 or 1300 432 773 and we will endeavour to help you directly with any order changes.

Problems with your product

If you have a reasonable and legitimate complaint about our products, please contact us within 24 hours of the delivery time.

Please use the Contact Us link and provide an explanation of your problem along with a digital image so we can assess the extent of the fault with the product.

Offering delivery Australia wide and International.

Prices shown on the website do not include delivery charges. Delivery charges will vary depending on the location of the recipient. If a remote or unusual delivery is requested the cost of delivering the flowers may be significant. For example, a metropolitan delivery will cost much less than a delivery to Thursday Island.

DARRENS FLOWERS has thousands of customers and is unable to phone or email each customer with a delivery confirmation.

Offering same day delivery Australia wide. Orders must be placed by 2:00pm for same day delivery weekdays and 11:00am on Saturdays.  This is based on the local time in all Australian regions.  We do not deliver on Sundays except Mother's Day and Valentine’s Day.  We do guarantee that all metropolitan orders placed within this time frame are guaranteed to arrive before 5:00pm to a business address and by 6:00pm to a residential address, provided accurate and correct details are supplied. 

At DARRENS FLOWERS, we offer timed delivery services for our customers to purchase. While we can guarantee purchased timed delivery services, we cannot guarantee time preferences. 

Deliveries that are not possible to make on the requested day will be delivered on the next working day. Same day delivery to rural and remote locations may not be possible due to distance and logistics. If a delivery is not possible on a requested day, DARRENS FLOWERS will advise the sender.

DARRENS FLOWERS is not responsible if products can not be delivered for reasons beyond the control of DARRENS FLOWERS. This would include (but not limited to) situations as follows:- 

a) There is nobody present at the address provided and the delivery agent decides there is a danger of theft or damage to the product; 

b) The address provided for the recipient is incorrect or incomplete; 

c) No one with the recipient’s name is present at the address provided; or 

d) There is no contact number or an incorrect or invalid number provided so DARRENS FLOWERS has no way to check on delivery details. 

Items that contain alcohol cannot be left at a delivery location if a person over the age of 18 is unavailable to receive the order (e.g. The order cannot be left at the front door if nobody is home)


As a quality assurance method DARRENS FLOWERS has a number of processes in place to handle the occurrence of product substitution for your order.  Read more about this below but in summary Flowers/Plants are seasonal and subject to availability on the day of delivery.  We will endeavour to contact you when making substitutions otherwise appropriate products of equal or greater value will be used.

Why Substitution occurs

Although our florists do their best to match your order with what you have requested it's necessary from time to time to make floral, packaging and merchandise substitutions in order to deliver orders on time or where flowers or products are temporarily unavailable.

These Substitutions happen because flowers are subject to availability - so not all flowers are available all across Australia all the time.  Taking this into consideration our flower range has been designed to avoid problems where possible but unfortunately substitutions are just a part of the floral industry so we cannot make any guarantees.

What will be substituted?

When a florist is unable to source a particular flower that makes up an arrangement they will refer to the substitution defined by our product manual given to that florist.  The substituted flower will be of equal or higher value and will generally have a similar appearance.  In the case that the substitute is substantially different than the original we then contact you to discuss this alternative with you if necessary.

Colours are also another factor that influences substitution.  For example the product image in our flower range may have yellow flowers but if the florist does not have those flowers in that colour then they may substitute them for another colour, for example orange.

What if I have specific colour requests?

If you have a special request for flower colours in your order and there is availability problems we will be in touch with you to discuss your options further.

Selecting Colour Preferences

For most of our products you are able to select a colour preference.  If you would like to define multiple colour preferences then you should add these as a special request in the order details.

Product Freshness 

We only use the freshest and best quality product at DARRENS FLOWERS. As such, some stems, including Lilies, may be closed when received.

If no one is at home when the delivery occurs, there is a field on the “Recipient Details” page for you to enter instructions in case no one is at home when the delivery occurs.  We would appreciate advice on whether to leave the flowers in a secure place that would also be protected from the elements.

Without these instructions a delivery driver will make a decision as to whether to leave the flowers unattended or deliver them at a later time. If flowers are delivered more than once, then subsequent deliveries will be charged to your credit card.

DARRENS FLOWERS will make every effort to contact the person ordering flowers or the recipient where we are having difficulty in delivering the flowers. If there are alternative delivery arrangements, the extra delivery costs will be charged to your credit card.
